Ayala Shoshana Guy, born in 1992 in Jerusalem, is an artist and filmmaker. She holds a BFA in Fine Arts from Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design, Jerusalem, and a postgraduate (Meisterschüler) degree in time-based media from the Academy of Visual Arts, Leipzig. Currently, she is pursuing a Master’s in Critical Studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna.
Her film "I Will Take Your Shadow," has been showcased at international festivals like DOK Leipzig, Hamburg Short Film Festival and Rising of Lusitania. She has received awards such as the DAAD Study Scholarship (2018-2021), the Yehoshua Rabinovich Foundation grant, Tel Aviv (2024) and the Birgit Jürgenssen Prize (2024).
Her work is supported by Filmværksted Viborg, Anidox:lab (Denmark), Rise&Shine development lab (CEE) and more
Ayala is Currently residing in Passau, Germany, creating solo and collaborative projects. She is a lecturer for experimental cinema and animation at the Faculty of Art Education and Visual Literacy, University of Passau.
