Ayala Shoshana Guy (b. Jerusalem, 1992) received her BfA in fine arts from Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design (Jerusalem) and her postgraduate degree (Meisterschueler) in time based media from the Academy of Visual Arts (Leipzig). She is a recipient of the DAAD Study Scholarship for Foreign Graduates in the field of Arts (2018-2021) and the Meisterschüler*Innen-Preis der G2 Kunsthalle (2021). Celebrating its European premiere at DOK Leipzig, Ayala Shoshana Guy’s film, “I will take your shadow”, has exhibited at venues and festivals such as Hamburg Short Film Festival, Tel Aviv International Students Film Festival, B3 Biennial of the Moving Image, Neues Museum Nürnberg, Kunst und Ausstellungshalle der Bundesrepublik Deutschland and more.
Ayala is Currently residing in Passau, Germany, creating solo and collaborative projects. She is a lecturer at the Faculty of Art Education and Visual Literacy, University of Passau, and a student at the Master in Critical Studies program at the University of Fine Arts, Vienna.
